This is Bene Bene in Canary Wharf, London. Look carefully at the Menus on the wall above the counter. What’s that you’re saying? You can’t see them? Would that be because some complete mad person from mad land has hung signs saying ‘pay & collect’ and ‘order here’ about half a metre in front of the menus obscuring them? So, if you pop in to Bene Bene and see customers contorting their bodies, it’s not because they are escaped limbo dancers from a maximum security limbo dancer prison, it’s because kneeling down is one of the only ways to get an idea of what’s for sale.
